Hello!

I'm Beth Ely (EEE-LEE)! I'm a full-time photographer and cinematographer based out of Durham, NC. Not many people can say they have their dream job, so I know just how lucky I am. My amazing clients allow me to capture intimate, honest, joyful images of their lives, and I love knowing that the pictures I'm making will be cherished for generations. I stumbled upon photography in college and fell in LOVE. I took every photography class that was offered (even temporarily switching majors to learn about fine art photography). I was hooked. After graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill’s photojournalism department in 2007, I did some globetrotting and circled back to the North Carolina triangle to grow some roots. I have been capturing weddings and families for the past fourteen years, and I absolutely love what I do. When I’m not taking pictures, I’m trying to keep up with my wild daughters and marathoner husband, working in my garden, tasting new beers, or cuddling with our pups, Dax and Scotty.
